Setting Sigasi as the default VHDL editor on Mac

Setting the default application for VHDL filesSetting the default application for VHDL filesWhen I double-click a VHDL file, I want it to open with my favorite VHDL editor. Sigasi Pro, obviously.

Here is how to set this up in Mac OS X:

  • Find a VHDL file in the Finder
  • Right-click and select Get Info
  • Select Open with > Other… and find your Sigasi Pro application
  • Click Change All… so that all other VHDL files will also get opened with Sigasi.

Repeat this procedure for *.vhd files and for *.vhdl files.

Proper Mac notation

Pet peeve: An Apple computer is referred to as a "Mac", with only the first letter being uppercase. Please fix the title.

Oops. Lucky I didn't call it
