Sigasi develops an integrated development environment (IDE) that makes chip designers more productive. Our IDE, Sigasi Visual HDL, based on Visual Studio Code (VS Code), is focused on VHDL and SystemVerilog, the two most common hardware design languages.

As is the state of the world these days, many of our features require a web browser. I mean, not only does the entire IDE run in an Electron application, we ship an additional Chromium browser to render diagrams and documentation in our CLI and export functionalities. We’re hoping to replace it with a Chromium Embedded Framework to reduce the size of our product and get rid of some long-standing bugs.
During this internship, you get to investigate the complexity and impact of this change. You will work iteratively in close contact with our build team to attempt this replacement.
You will join Sigasi's engineering team and participate in actual product development. You'll be part of the daily scrum. Your code will be a first-class citizen, go through the standard review cycle, and eventually have a tangible impact on our product.
This internship takes place for at least 8 weeks in 2026, at the Sigasi office, near the fascinating city center of Ghent, Belgium. For more information about this internship proposal, e-mail careers@sigasi.com.
