Sigasi develops an integrated development environment (IDE) that makes chip designers more productive. To comply with standards, and simply to make their lives easier, Sigasi has a whole list of project and linting rule configuration.
Configuring these rules, which can both be different for a whole project, a subdirectory of it or individual files, and orthogonally for RTL (implementation) or non-RTL (e.g. tests) code is not easy. We try to help out our users by having a graphical tool for it, but its complexity has grown over time and needs to be reduced again.
Over the summer of 2026, Ema joined Sigasi for an internship. We weren’t sure of the topic at the start, but we evolved to reworking these configuration pages. A part of her work can already be admired in our product, and we’re working on implementing the remaining part of her mock-ups.
